How to prolong the service life of high-speed steel circular saw blades

In order to minimize the consumption of high-speed steel circular saw blades, reduce the cost of each cut, and improve the production efficiency of the factory, the following application suggestions are expected to be followed according to the actual situation:

1. Trial run of new saw blade:

In order to ensure a long service life, it is necessary to allow the circular saw machine and the new saw blade (the saw blade after replacement or each grinding) to have a sufficient running-in process. It is very necessary to reduce the feed speed within the first 10 minutes of cutting. Then gradually increase the speed for the next 10 minutes.

2. Cutting and feeding speed:

The cutting speed depends on the cross section and toughness of the material being cut. For stainless steel, which is difficult to cut and has high toughness, a slower speed is very beneficial to extending the life of the saw blade. When the material cross section is small, the machine speed can be appropriately increased;

3. Grind the saw blade correctly and in time:

During the operation of the saw blade, due to the action of external forces, the saw blade's pitch, runout, stress, etc. have changed, so the saw path becomes larger; the surface is rough, and the saw blade is clamped. Timely grinding of the saw blade to improve the saw blade's saw tooth angle and pitch accuracy will improve the use effect of the high-speed steel circular saw blade.

4. You can judge the current cutting status of the saw blade by observing the sawdust;

a. Very fine or powdery sawdust indicates the cutting pressure;

b. Coarse, soft sawdust indicates cutting overload;

c. Long spiral wire sawdust indicates good condition;
