There are many types of saw blades, most commonly categorized by the material they cut: for instance, carbide-tipped blades are used for wood, high-speed steel or tungsten steel blades for metal, and diamond blades for stone and tile.Choosing the Right Blade for Different Materials
1. Wood and composite boards: Carbide-tipped circular saw blades are commonly used; blades with more teeth produce smoother cuts and are suitable for solid wood, MDF, and particleboard.
2. Metal and piping: High-speed steel or tungsten steel blades offer superior wear resistance. Coated blades are recommended for cutting stainless steel, angle iron, and steel pipes to minimize heat generation and wear.
3. Stone and tile: Diamond circular saw blades are used; the cutting segments contain diamond particles, enabling them to cut marble, granite, and concrete. These come in continuous-rim and turbo-rim styles.
4. Aluminum alloy profiles: Specialized aluminum-cutting blades feature tooth profiles and coatings designed specifically for aluminum, resulting in cleaner cuts; they are commonly used in the processing of door and window components and heat sinks.
